Jonathan Streit is one of itestra’s most experienced transformation architects, leading large-scale software modernization programs from initial analysis through strategy development, project planning, and hands-on delivery. His work spans the full modernization lifecycle – from legacy system assessment and architecture design to migration execution and regression testing.
A recognized expert in lean software production, Jonathan combines scientifically grounded methodology with deep hands-on experience across legacy and modern technology stacks – from COBOL and NATURAL to Java and C#. When standard approaches fall short, he develops custom methods and tooling to solve specific analysis and transformation challenges. His expertise is backed by numerous scientific publications, guest lectures at leading universities including TU Munich, RWTH Aachen, and TU Vienna, and active involvement in applied research.
Jonathan brings deep domain expertise in insurance and the public sector, including HR and personnel management systems. He combines this industry knowledge with proven modernization approaches to achieve sustainable, measurable improvements in complex enterprise system landscapes – preserving business value while enabling the next generation of technology.
