Tassilo Karge

Tassilo Karge is a seasoned developer and project lead with over a decade of professional experience building and delivering mobile applications. Since 2013, he has navigated every major evolution of the Apple ecosystem – from Objective-C to Swift, from UIKit to SwiftUI. His project history spans diverse industries, including educational apps for the Calliope mini platform and enterprise-grade messaging solutions serving customers with over 100,000 users each. Beyond hands-on development, he has taken on roles as team lead, project lead, and in client-facing account management and consulting.

Tassilo is an active open-source contributor and maintainer, with contributions to widely used libraries and applications like Hibernate, the Vienna RSS Reader, and OpenHAB. He combines deep technical expertise in iOS architectures with a strong focus on user experience, translating complex requirements into intuitive, polished interfaces grounded in agileand lean development practices.

Outside of technology, Tassilo brings broad intercultural experience – from leadership roles in IAESTE, where he managed international student exchanges and advised the DAAD on a national level, to an international background spanning engagements across Russia, China, India, Brazil, and Indonesia.
