You define the technical direction. As a Principal Engineer at itestra, you’re responsible for architecture decisions across project boundaries and take our methods and tools to the next level. You’re a sparring partner for client CTOs and an internal catalyst at the same time.

What to Expect

• Architecture ownership – You define target architectures and migration paths for large-scale modernization initiatives.
• Technical strategy consulting – You advise clients at the C-level on technical questions and investment decisions.
• Methods and tooling – You advance itestra’s analysis and modernization tools.
• Quality standards – You establish and maintain technical standards across all projects.
• Thought leadership – You represent itestra at conferences and in client meetings as a technical authority.

What You Bring

• 10+ years of software development experience with proven architecture responsibility
• Broad technology understanding across multiple stacks and paradigms
• Experience with enterprise modernization in regulated industries (finance, insurance, public sector)
• Ability to translate technical visions into actionable roadmaps
• Excellent communication skills in German and English
