You’re the detective in the code. As a Software Analyst at itestra, you analyze complex legacy systems, identify dependencies, assess technical debt, and create the decision basis for modernization projects. Your analyses are the starting point of every successful software renovation.
What to Expect
- Code analysis – You systematically analyze large codebases – from COBOL and PL/I to Java and C#.
- Health Checks – You conduct structured assessments that create transparency about a system’s condition in 1–2 weeks.
- Documentation – You create technical reports that are equally understandable for developers and decision-makers.
- Tool development – You use and advance analysis tools, including AI-powered methods.
- Client workshops – You present findings to clients and facilitate technical discussions.
What You Bring
- Degree in computer science or a related field
- Genuine interest in reading and understanding other people’s code – even when it’s not pretty
- Analytical mindset and structured work approach
- Basic proficiency in at least one programming language
- Good German and English skills
- Experience with static code analysis or reverse engineering is a plus
